Molto Properties Sells 3451 Chicago Street

Molto Properties announces the sale of 3451 Chicago Street, in Joliet, Illinois to Midwest Warehouse and Distribution System, Inc. Timothy Thompson of HSA Commercial Real Estate represented Midwest Warehouse, while Jason West and Sean Henrick of Cushman and Wakefield represented Molto Properties in the transaction.

The facility was built in 2007, and totals 575,024 square feet. Its prime location sits just 5 miles from the BNSF Intermodal Elwood Terminal, with superb access to I-80 & I-55. Molto Properties purchased the facility vacant. In 2014, it leased 209,179 square feet to Otis Elevator Company, a client of Cushman and Wakefield’s.

“We chose to purchase this facility due to the proximity to intermodal yards and access to interstates, as well as the building’s functionality which includes a 32’ clear height, cross-docked layout and ample trailer storage.” Says Brad Borkowski, General Manager of Midwest Warehouse.

With nearly 35 years in business, Midwest Warehouse and affiliate companies provide end-to-end solutions including warehousing, distribution, packaging, value add services, and transportation. Midwest currently operates over 6 million SF of public and contract warehouse space in 18 facilities across 5 states. This facility marks the Company’s fourteenth location in Illinois.
